According to information released on the official website of the Department of Natural Resources of Henan Province, the Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning of Sanmenxia City recently held a promotion meeting on green mine development. The meeting made overall arrangements for key tasks of green mine construction in the next stage, requiring mining enterprises to raise their political awareness, adopt targeted measures, consolidate responsibilities, and continuously consolidate the foundation for green development of the city’s mining industry.
Three key tasks were clarified at the meeting:
- Raise political awareness. Mining enterprises shall fully evaluate political, economic and long-term benefits, and take the initiative to become the main force in developing green mines.
- Deliver targeted services. Natural resources authorities at county and district levels shall strictly implement the work principles of rigorous regulation, supportive assistance and regular supervision, and formulate tailored solutions for each individual mine.
- Implement accountability rigorously. Principal persons-in-charge of mining enterprises shall fulfill their duties as primary responsible persons. County and district authorities shall formulate detailed schedules and conduct regular follow-up supervision and scheduling.
Going forward, Sanmenxia Municipal Bureau will strengthen inter-departmental coordination, steadily advance green mine construction, and consolidate the fundamental underpinnings for the green transformation of the local mining sector.
